  • School's back in session and my reading list is a little scary. Started Old Books and New Histories: An Orientation to Studies in Book and Print Culture by Leslie Howsam on the train this morning, happy to see the work of my mentors referenced, and how they fit in with other scholars "of the book."

    This semester I'm buying copies of all of my texts, although I wish I could again get them all from my library system like I have in past semesters. But I've learned that like Prof. Shor, underlining and marginalia on a printed page seem to be a key component of my process.
